Singular and Plural

🌟 English Grammar Practice – Singular and Plural

📖 Explanation
1. Singular Noun → means one person, place, animal, or thing.
Example: book, cat, child, flower
2. Plural Noun → means more than one.
Example: books, cats, children, flowers



📌 Rules of Plurals
1. Add –s → book → books, pen → pens
2. Add –es (when word ends in s, x, z, ch, sh) → box → boxes, bus → buses
3. If word ends in y (after a consonant), change y → i and add –es → baby → babies
4. If word ends in y (after a vowel), just add –s → boy → boys, key → keys
5. Some words change completely → man → men, child → children, tooth → teeth
6. Some words stay the same → sheep → sheep, deer → deer
